Kenosha Co. sheriff enters ICE agreement in a change of course - WTMJ
KENOSHA, Wis. — The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Office has signed a 287(g) agreement with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), authorizing local law enforcement to identify non-citizens and issue detainers for inmates booked into the Kenosha County Jail. The agreement is a change from September, when Sheriff David Zoerner said his office is “not participating” and was “not confident” that the program would be in the best interest of taxpayers.
